Money information can be personal. FootingNOW is designed to collect only what we need to provide the service, keep identifiable assessment information for a limited time, and avoid selling your information or sharing your assessment answers with advertisers.
1. Who we are
FootingNOW is operated by Dontrix Solutions Inc. FootingNOW provides financial wellbeing tools and services designed to help people understand their financial situation, reduce financial fragility, and make practical progress toward greater stability. These may include assessments, personalized roadmaps, educational resources, workbooks, worksheets, digital tools, and optional coaching or other support services.

2. Information we collect
Assessment information
The assessment may ask about income, income stability, essential expenses, debt and debt payments, savings or financial cushion, overdue bills, financial pressure, recent life changes, confidence about your financial situation, actions you have already taken, and other information you choose to provide about your financial circumstances.
You can complete the assessment without identifying yourself. We collect an email address only when you request your detailed roadmap.
Contact information
We collect your email address when you request delivery of your roadmap or communicate with us. Marketing is optional and requires a separate opt in.
Purchases
Purchases are processed as guest purchases through Stripe. Stripe may collect payment and transaction information, including contact information where required for the transaction or receipt. FootingNOW does not receive or store your full payment card number.
Coaching information
If you choose coaching, we may keep notes needed to provide the coaching service. Coaching notes are stored locally rather than in FootingNOW's online systems and are kept only for the duration of the coaching engagement, after which they are deleted unless a longer period is required by law.
Website and technical information
Our website and service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referral information, dates and times of visits, and interactions with the site. We may also use cookies and similar technologies as described below.
3. Information we never ask for
We never ask for your bank account number, banking password, online banking credentials, Social Insurance Number, Social Security Number, tax account password, credit report login information, or other account passwords. Please do not enter this type of information into the assessment, contact forms, coaching messages, or free text fields.
4. How we use information
We use information to administer the assessment, calculate your Footing Profile and results, create your personalized roadmap, select appropriate worksheets, deliver requested products and services, provide optional coaching, answer support requests, maintain and improve FootingNOW, troubleshoot problems, prevent misuse and security incidents, maintain required business and accounting records, comply with legal obligations, and send marketing communications only where you have opted in.
5. How your assessment and roadmap are created
FootingNOW uses a structured decision system to determine your Footing Profile, priorities, and roadmap. Your profile and core recommendations are based on predefined rules and criteria rather than being independently invented by artificial intelligence. We use OpenAI through its API to help turn structured results into clear, personalized written explanations. Information sent to OpenAI through the API is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the account holder explicitly opts in to data sharing.
6. Automated processing
Automated processing is used to calculate assessment scores, identify a Footing Profile, determine priorities, and generate a roadmap. It does not make decisions about your eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing, government benefits, or services offered by third parties, and it does not create a credit score or financial rating.
7. Service providers
We use service providers to operate FootingNOW, including Tally for assessment forms, Make for workflow automation, OpenAI for AI assisted roadmap wording, Google services for operational storage, PDFMonkey for document generation, Netlify for website hosting, Stripe for payment processing, and providers used to deliver email. We aim to limit the information shared with each provider to what it needs to perform its role. Other than where needed for payment processing, providers involved in roadmap generation do not need to receive your email address; we use an assessment identifier wherever practical.
8. International processing
FootingNOW is available internationally and service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate contractual or other protections.
9. Legal bases where GDPR or UK GDPR applies
Where these laws apply, our legal bases may include performance of a contract or steps taken at your request for the assessment, roadmap, purchases and coaching; consent for optional marketing and non essential cookies or tracking; legitimate interests for reasonable security, troubleshooting and operation of the service; and legal obligation where records must be retained or information processed to comply with law.
10. Internal research and product improvement
We may use anonymized or aggregated information derived from assessment responses to improve FootingNOW, understand how people use the service, test and refine assessment logic, improve roadmap quality, identify common areas of financial pressure, and develop future products or features. Before information is used for these purposes, we remove or separate direct identifiers and limit the data to what is reasonably needed for the research. We do not use identifiable assessment answers for advertising or sell them to third parties.
11. How long we keep information
Submitted assessment responses and generated roadmaps are retained for 30 days after submission and are then deleted, unless we are required by law to retain particular information for longer. Anonymized or aggregated information derived from assessment responses may be retained longer for internal research, statistical analysis and product improvement. Purchase and accounting records may be retained for the periods required by tax, accounting or other laws. Coaching notes are deleted when the coaching engagement ends, subject to legal requirements.
12. Assessment progress saved on your device
If you leave the assessment before submitting it, the assessment platform may save your progress on your device so you can return and continue. Clearing browser data, using another device, or some private browsing settings may remove that saved progress.
13. Email communications
We use your email address to send the roadmap and provide services you request. Requesting a roadmap does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Marketing communications require a separate opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
14. Cookies and similar technologies
FootingNOW may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand site use, measure traffic and performance, identify technical problems, and measure marketing effectiveness. Where required by law, non essential analytics or advertising technologies such as Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta Pixel will not be activated until you provide the appropriate consent. Additional details may be provided in a separate cookie notice or cookie policy as these services are introduced.
15. Advertising and tracking
Assessment answers are not sent to advertising platforms and are not used to create advertising audiences. If advertising or analytics technologies are used, they will be configured and disclosed in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
16. We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information. We do not sell, rent, or disclose your assessment answers to advertisers or data brokers, and advertisers do not receive access to your individual financial assessment responses.
17. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These may include access controls, password protected systems, encryption where appropriate, restricted access, reputable service providers, software updates, and procedures for responding to suspected security incidents. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
18. Data breaches
If we become aware of unauthorized access to or disclosure of personal information, we will investigate and take appropriate steps. Where applicable law requires notification to affected individuals, regulators, or both, we will provide the required notification.
19. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask whether we hold information about you, access it, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request portability, opt out of direct marketing, or complain to a privacy or data protection regulator. These rights vary by jurisdiction and are not absolute.
20. How to make a privacy request
Contact footingnow@gmail.com. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
21. Retaking the assessment
Each assessment submission is treated independently. A new submission creates a new assessment record, result, and personalized roadmap based only on the information submitted that time. Previous assessments are not used to calculate a later result or roadmap.
22. Age requirement
FootingNOW is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the assessment from anyone under 18. If we learn that information has been submitted by someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
23. External links and support resources
The FootingNOW website may link to third party websites and resources, including services listed on our Support page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. FootingNOW does not receive information about what you tell an outside organization merely because you followed a link from our site.
24. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as FootingNOW changes or legal requirements develop. We will update the date at the top of the policy and provide additional notice where appropriate. If we intend to use personal information for a materially different purpose, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required.
