These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of FootingNOW, including our website, financial health assessment, personalized roadmaps, educational resources, digital tools, workbooks, worksheets, coaching services, and any other products or services we may offer.
FootingNOW is operated by Dontrix Solutions Inc., operating as FootingNOW. By using FootingNOW, or by agreeing to these Terms where we ask you to do so, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who can use FootingNOW
FootingNOW is intended for adults aged 18 or older. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are legally able to enter into these Terms.
2. What FootingNOW provides
FootingNOW provides financial wellbeing tools and educational support designed to help you better understand your financial situation and identify practical next steps.
Depending on the service you use, this may include a financial health assessment, a Footing Profile, a personalized roadmap, worksheets, workbooks and other educational resources, digital tools, optional money coaching, and articles or guides.
Some services are free and others may require payment. Any applicable price will be shown before you make a purchase.
3. FootingNOW does not provide regulated financial advice
FootingNOW provides financial education, financial wellbeing guidance and coaching. Unless expressly stated otherwise, FootingNOW does not provide investment advice, securities advice, tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice specific to your circumstances, credit repair services, debt settlement services, mortgage or insurance advice, regulated financial planning, or recommendations to buy, sell or hold a specific financial product.
Your assessment, profile, roadmap, workbook and coaching are intended to help you organize information, consider options and identify possible actions. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional where professional advice is appropriate. You remain responsible for decisions you make about your finances.
4. Your assessment and roadmap
Your FootingNOW assessment is based on the information you provide. The resulting Footing Profile and personalized roadmap are generated from your responses using FootingNOW's assessment logic, decision rules and technology assisted processes.
You are responsible for providing information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. FootingNOW does not independently verify the financial information you provide.
Because circumstances differ from person to person, your roadmap should be treated as a practical educational guide rather than a guarantee that a particular action will produce a particular financial outcome.
Each assessment is treated as a separate assessment. If you complete the assessment again, the new assessment and roadmap are based on the information provided in that submission and are not automatically affected by a previous assessment.
5. Artificial intelligence and automated tools
FootingNOW may use automated systems and artificial intelligence to help process assessment information, apply decision logic, personalize wording and generate parts of a roadmap or other content.
These tools support the FootingNOW service but do not replace your own judgment. Although we take steps to improve accuracy and consistency, automated outputs may occasionally contain errors, omissions or wording that is not appropriate for your particular situation.
You should review your roadmap carefully and seek qualified professional advice before making decisions where the consequences could be significant.
6. Information you should not provide
We never ask you to provide highly sensitive banking or identity credentials such as online banking passwords, banking login credentials, credit or debit card numbers through assessment fields, Social Insurance Numbers or Social Security Numbers, tax account passwords, or credit report login credentials.
Please do not enter this information into assessment responses, contact forms, coaching notes or other free text fields. Payment card information for purchases is processed by our payment provider and is not collected directly by FootingNOW through the assessment.
7. Free and paid services
Certain FootingNOW services may be provided free of charge, including the financial health assessment and personalized roadmap where stated. Other products or services, such as workbooks, additional digital resources or money coaching, may be offered for a fee.
You are never required to purchase a paid product simply because you complete the free assessment or receive a roadmap.
8. Purchases and payments
Paid products and services may be purchased through a third party payment processor such as Stripe. Prices, applicable taxes and any material purchase conditions will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Your payment information is processed by the payment provider under its own terms and privacy practices. FootingNOW does not receive or store your full payment card number.
Additional terms relating to refunds, cancellations, delivery or access may be presented at the point of purchase where they apply. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the law of your jurisdiction.
9. Digital products
Digital products may include downloadable workbooks, worksheets, reports, roadmaps, guides or other electronic materials. Unless stated otherwise, purchasing a digital product gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use that product for your own personal purposes.
You may print a reasonable number of copies for your own use. You may not resell or redistribute the product, publish it online, share purchased copies publicly, reproduce it for commercial use, remove copyright or branding notices, or present FootingNOW materials as your own.
10. Money coaching
FootingNOW may offer optional money coaching. Money coaching is intended to help you clarify goals, think through choices, develop practical actions and follow through on your financial priorities.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, legal advice, tax advice, investment advice or regulated financial planning. A coach may encourage you to consult an appropriately qualified professional when a matter falls outside the scope of coaching.
Purchasing coaching does not guarantee a particular financial outcome. Additional terms relating to scheduling, cancellations or missed appointments may be provided when coaching is booked.
11. Emergency and crisis situations
FootingNOW is not an emergency, crisis, food assistance, housing assistance, debt relief or emergency financial aid service. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service in your location.
Our Support Resources page provides links and suggestions for finding practical assistance, but FootingNOW does not operate or control those external services.
12. Your responsibilities
When using FootingNOW, you agree not to provide information you know to be false or misleading, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with the operation or security of the website, introduce malicious software or harmful code, scrape or systematically extract our content without permission, misuse assessment or roadmap systems, impersonate another person, or use FootingNOW for unlawful purposes.
You are responsible for maintaining reasonable security over any download links, emails or files associated with your FootingNOW use.
13. Intellectual property
The FootingNOW name, branding, assessment structure, scoring systems, decision logic, roadmap framework, written content, worksheets, workbooks, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Dontrix Solutions Inc. These materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the personal use rights expressly provided in these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
14. Availability of the service
We aim to keep FootingNOW available and functioning reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally maintain or update the website, change features, correct errors, suspend parts of the service, replace service providers, or modify or discontinue products.
We may also make reasonable changes to the assessment, scoring methodology, roadmap logic or educational materials as the service develops.
15. Third party services and links
FootingNOW relies on third party services for functions such as website hosting, forms, workflow automation, payment processing, document generation, email delivery and technology assisted content generation.
Our website may also contain links to external websites or organizations. We are not responsible for the availability, content, security, products, advice or practices of third party websites or services that we do not control.
16. Privacy
Your use of FootingNOW is also subject to our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how long we retain it, the service providers we use and the choices available to you.
Privacy consent, where legally required, is handled separately from your acceptance of these Terms.
17. No guarantee of results
Financial circumstances are influenced by many factors outside FootingNOW's control. We therefore cannot guarantee that following a roadmap will improve your financial position, that you will save or reduce debt by a particular amount, that your credit score will improve, that you will qualify for financial assistance or credit, or that a particular strategy will work for you.
The service is intended to support informed decision making, not guarantee outcomes.
18. Accuracy and limitations
We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but FootingNOW may occasionally contain errors, outdated information or technical problems. Information provided through FootingNOW is provided on an as available basis, subject to any rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Dontrix Solutions Inc. is not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general educational information where you should reasonably have obtained professional advice tailored to your circumstances. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
19. Consumer rights
You may have rights under consumer protection laws in the country or province where you live. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove, restrict or waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
For certain online purchases, applicable law may require information about the product or service, price, payment arrangements, delivery, cancellation rights or other terms to be provided before you complete your purchase. FootingNOW will provide additional purchase specific information where required.
20. Suspension or termination
We may restrict or terminate access to FootingNOW where reasonably necessary because of misuse of the service, unlawful activity, attempted security breaches, fraud, repeated violation of these Terms, or circumstances requiring us to protect users, FootingNOW or our systems.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as FootingNOW develops or when legal, operational or regulatory requirements change. The current version will be posted on our website with the date it was last updated.
Changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. For a material change affecting an existing paid service or ongoing relationship, we will provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or other rights that apply in the jurisdiction where you live.
Nothing in this section prevents you from relying on consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded by choosing Ontario law.
